Pirates of the Carribean – The Curse of the Black Pearl ****

After leading a mutiny again Capt. Jack Sparrow (Depp), Barbossa (Rush) leads his men to carry away a chest of Cortez’s gold coins. But the gold is cursed and everyone who takes a part of it will become zombies. The only way out of the curse is for them to return the gold with their blood staining the coin. They find all the coins except one. The coin was the one that one of their mates Turner sent to his son. Unfortunately, Turner was killed by the pirates before they knew about the curse.

The pirates stalk the seas in their ship the Black Pearl in search of Turner’s son and the coin. They find it on Elizabeth Swann (Knightley), and think she is Turner’s off-spring.

The story is how Will Turner (Bloom) and Sparrow, set out of rescue Swann, who Turner happens to be in love with.

The thrills, spills and quick dialogue make this an immensely watchable movie. So much so that it is worth watching again and again.
